    Hey Flimmy, what is Anzac (#6 above) and what is a kiwi? Been wondering why we Americans call people from Australia ‘Kiwis’. Who is John Howard? What makes us American? The Superball, presidential elections that last forever and cost a mint, & our ethnocentric affluenzic ways. I think we need to really consider global perspectives a lot more than we do.

    Interesting list. I’m wondering what a Clipsal 500 is. Is it some kind of race? If so, what do they race?

    Although I live in New York State [out in the country, a few hours from New York City], I admire John Howard and I’m glad to see him on your list. Australia should be proud that he’s a part of your recent history.

    I would have liked to have seen him continue, but I’m glad that he has more time to go about and talk to people all over the world about the issues facing Australia and the United States.

    Are latex gloves really Australian? I didn’t know that!

    @ mrsdurff:
    Well, you see Anzacs are soldiers who died in World War 1. The reason we have Anzac Day is because we can remember them. We have a minute’s silence for every person who died. Anzac stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
    John Howard used to be our Prime Minister like your president.
    @pat:
    Yes it is a race. It is very popular but I don’t like it. I almost forgot they race cars.
    @Matthew.K.Tabor
    I am surprised that you live in NY and you know who John Howard. That’s pretty cool.
    @Nancy McKeand
    It is Australian but if you don’t believe then just go to this web site.

    Crayola? Uniquely Australian? I live in Pennsylvania and the Crayola Factory is just a short car ride down the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

    Are you referring to the crayon company?

  10.   anast Says:

    Hey flimmy,
    I like your list but maybe you could put some information next some or a web adress so people interstate/overseas will get a better idea of it. :)

    bye bye

    Oh ken you maybe right I looked on the web site and it didn’t say it was uniquely Australian. Well thanks of pointing that out of me

    That will help me next time. So I can make my next post better thanks anast.
